PV industry leader committed to domestic market

Shanghai Chint Power Systems will continue to focus its efforts on the domestic market and develop its solar power technology in line with the central government's efforts to champion green energies, according to Han Jiazhi, the company's vice general manager.

"Over the past decade, we have witnessed a lot of enterprises in the photovoltaic industry go bankrupt. Although we have invested quite a large amount into this sector, the company has maintained steady and healthy growth throughout," said Han, during an interview with local media in August.

A few years ago, Shanghai Chint Power Systems shifted its focus from the European market to the domestic market. Han said that the company is now exploring the market potential in countries such as the United States, Japan and India, as it continues its research and development efforts in areas such as PV inverters, energy storage solutions and new energy vehicles.
