Creating a transfer hub
The Zhangjiang zone in Shanghai is slated for a transformation into a facilitator of tech exchanges home and abroad
Shanghai Yangpu Venture is in the midst of transforming the Zhangjiang area in Shanghai into a Pilot Zone of International Technology Transfer, as it aims to increase the import of advanced technologies into China as well as the export of Chinese technologies to foreign countries.
The first phase of this project has been taking place since 2014 and will end this year. It involves the establishment of three major functional zones in Zhangjiang's Bay Valley, where the Zhangjiang International Tech-Transfer Center is located, and the setting up of a new micro cluster with an output value of more than 10 billion yuan ($1.5 billion) for emerging industries.
