21 Chinese in Singapore infected with Zika

The Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that China's embassy in Singapore had been informed by the island state's Health Ministry that 21 Chinese nationals in the country are confirmed to have been infected with Zika.

The health situation was not serious, and some of those who were infected had recovered, the Foreign Ministry added in a statement.

Meanwhile, a pregnant Singaporean woman was among those diagnosed with Zika infection in Singapore, as the number of confirmed cases of the mosquito-borne virus there rose to 115.
