Country has most planted forest
China is home to 69.3 million hectares of planted forest, the most in the world, according to the State Forestry Administration. Total forest acreage has grown to 208 million hectares from 82 million hectares in the early 1950s, covering 21.6 percent of the land area, compared with 8.6 percent more than 60 years ago.
