Premier decides on four major issues

Premier Li Keqiang hosted an executive meeting of the State Council, China's Cabinet, on Aug 16. He called for the inspection of industries with overcapacity; the checking of the implementation of policies promoting exports; the exemption of tuition fees for high school students from poor families; and the improvement of the social welfare system so that subsidies for the poor grow in line with rising prices.
