By Ma Lie in Xi'an | China Daily | Updated: 2016-08-20 07:48

Leaning and resting on hot stones has become a popular treatment to cure illnesses in Xi'an, Shaanxi province.

On late afternoons and early evenings, a group of women, all over the age of 50, go to City Wall Park and lie down on their backs or stomachs on four stones that have become hot in the afternoon heat.

The women believe that this activity can cure cold-related illnesses.
