Wuhan set to welcome world

The world's top 10 female players have confirmed their participation in the Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open, a WTA Premier 5 event set for the Optics Valley International Tennis Centre from Sept 23 to Oct 1.
World No 1 and Wimbledon champion Serena Williams of the US leads the lineup, with world No 2 Angelique Kerber of Germany favored to challenge the 22-time Grand Slam champion.
Romania's Simona Halep, Spain's Garbi?e Muguruza, Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland and defending champion Venus Williams of the US round out the top six.
