A traffic police officer who posted a parking ticket on a vehicle in Jiangxi province was beaten up by the driver following a dispute. Due to a lack of parking spaces as well as loopholes in implementing rules, such disputes are becoming common across the country.

"We need to follow the rules. A sufficient number of parking spaces also needs to be considered in urban planning to ease the problem."
