The Games begin
The 31st Summer Olympic Games will officially begin with a grand opening ceremony in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday. Representing President Xi Jinping, Vice-Premier Liu Yandong will attend the ceremony. Liu will later make an official visit to Mexico that will continue through Wednesday.
