HIV-positive boy seeks compensation

An 8-year-old boy in Zhangjiajie is seeking compensation for being infected with HIV after receiving treatment at three hospitals. According to the city's health authority, the boy was confirmed HIV positive in July 2015 after receiving a blood transfusion in January 2014 when he was seriously injured in a traffic accident. But the authority said it was difficult to determine the exact source and route of the infection.
