Beijing hosts conference on Tibet
The International Forum on Tibetan Studies will open in Beijing today. More than 300 Chinese and foreign scholars and observers will attend the three-day event, according to the China Tibetology Research Center. The seminar is the sixth of its kind since 1991. It is expected to help academics and the public better understand Tibet's history and culture.
