People: Bamboo carving art survives
Xu Bingfang, from Jiangsu province, is the son of Bamboo carving artist Xu Subai. The 71-year-old is an expert in the Chinese traditional craft, one of the national intangible cultural heritages. It is a unique method of carving into the very thin surface of bamboo to create beautiful pieces.
