Student injured in wushu accident

A female student in Shaoguan has been ordered to pay 16,000 yuan ($2,460) compensation to her classmate, who was left paralyzed following a martial arts accident. The female student, surnamed Wang, was helping her classmate, surnamed Zhang, perform an exercise in December 2012 during wushu, or martial arts, class at high school. Zhang fell to the ground and was paralyzed.
