Rising business registration
The number of newly established firms continued to increase in China in the first half of the year. According to statistics from the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, about 2.62 million new firms were registered from January to June, up 28.6 percent year-on-year. Newly registered firms in services industries jumped 30.2 percent from a year earlier to 2.12 million, accounting for 81.1 percent of total new registrations in this period. Software, information technology, culture and entertainment saw the most robust increase.
