Nigel Harris to succeed Burela as Chang'an chief

Marin Burela, president of Chang'an Ford Automobile Co Ltd, will retire in October. Nigel Harris is to succeed him. Post-retirement, Burela will serve as a special advisor for the company's operations in the Asia-Pacific region. Harris has also been promoted to vice-president of Ford Motor Company effective July 1. He has extensive experience in marketing, having served as the general manager of Chang'an Ford Sales Company and as vice-president of sales and services in the Asia-Pacific region. The appointments reflect the rising importance of the China business in Ford's global operations, and the vigorous growth in China's automobile market.
