More made-in-China talent key to sport's growth

ONE Championship, a Singapore-based mixed martial arts organization, is poised to punch its way into the mainstream market of Chinese sport through localization initiatives.

The group, which started promoting MMA shows in China two years ago, has set its sights on expanding the sport's niche status by organizing more events across China, opening an office staffed by local executives and operational crews in Shanghai, and signing more Chinese fighters.
