The multiethnic team that represents a diverse city

A multiethnic soccer team in the Xinjiang autonomous region is gradually becoming a calling card for the city, its base for the past three years.

Tacheng United has been a model of ethnic diversity since its formation in 2013.

"We play in the 4-3-3 formation, and our starting 11 comes from different ethnic groups - Han, Hui, Uygur, Kazak, Mongolian and Daur," said Bao Yin, a member of the Daur minority who is team captain.
