Moving toward energy security

By Shi Jing in Shanghai | China Daily | Updated: 2016-07-19 07:26

Editor's note: In this two-part series, China Daily captures the changing contours of the Yangtze River Delta area where a cluster of 26 cities will see unprecedented urban development and industrial upgradation, as per a mega plan approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in June. The first part today has focus on companies in Shanghai and Hefei. Tomorrow, we will take stock of Nanjing and Hangzhou.

China has been reliant on oil imports for decades. Now, however, domestic companies are developing their own technologies that can ensure the country's energy security.

Shanghai-based MSP/DRILEX Production and Manufacturing Management Co Ltd stands out in this regard.
