CITIC Bank head quits; Li is ED

Chang Zhenming has resigned as chairman of China CITIC Bank Co Ltd. Li Qingping, the bank's president, has been elected as the executive director by the board of directors. The bank's vice-president, Sun Deshun, has been appointed as president. The new appointments will take effect after receiving the approval from the China Banking Regulatory Commission. Li strengthened the bank's retail business and led the audit system reform during her two-year tenure. Sun was in charge of venture management and built venture controls in sectors of business, functional and audit departments.
