Agency to release economic data

The National Bureau of Statistics will hold a media briefing in Beijing tomorrow on the country's economic performance in the first half of the year. China has changed its method of GDP calculation to better reflect the contribution of innovation to economic growth, the agency said. Under the new policy, research and development expenditures will no longer be calculated as intermediate consumption.
