Promises of love made on the front lines

By Liang Shuang | China Daily | Updated: 2016-07-12 08:02

A big storm can't stop true love

Using a muddy levee as a red carpet, a farm tricycle as a limousine and a boxed lunch as wedding meal, a member of the Armed Police in Anhui province, married his fiancee after nine consecutive days on flooding's front line.

Xu Hao, the groom, was deployed in Wuwei county and had postponed his wedding twice previously, Anhui TV reported. Just one day after getting approval for his wedding, Xu postponed it. He volunteered to go to the front line to fight a new outbreak.
