Yes, Santa, the job outlook may be jolly

I had the chance recently to speak with Santa Claus about Christmas, and job prospects, in China.

It was a sweltering summer afternoon in my US hometown of Omaha, Nebraska (also the home of famously rich Warren Buffett), where the humidity, as in Beijing, seems to rise with the temperature.

That's right, it was summer - about as far removed from Christmas as the North Pole is from Neptune.
