Merger to create top tourism group

China is expected to create its largest State-owned tourism group, as the State Council has approved the merger between CITS Group Corp and China National Travel Service (HK) Group Corp. After the recombination, CITS will become a fully owned subsidiary of CTS, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission said on Monday. The authorities also said that it would no longer supervise CITS.
