Chinese torchbearers share Olympic passion on flame's journey
Six torchbearers selected by Coca-Cola Co, including globally renowned Chinese pianist Lang Lang, actress Jiang Yiyan and CEO of COFCO Coca-Cola Beverages Ltd Luan Xiuju, lit up the Brazilian town of Foz do Iguacu on Thursday as they carried the Olympic torch on the latest leg of its relay journey to the opening ceremony of the 2016 Rio Games, which will take place in just over a month's time.
"Share the Passion" was the theme of the Thursday leg of the torch relay, and Coca-Cola-selected torchbearers Jiang and Lang interacted with local people as they carried the torch.
"When people around me touched the torch, I saw the happiness shining in their eyes. I strongly felt the joy and passion the Olympic Games brings us," said Jiang, the 70th torchbearer along the Iguacu route, before passing the Olympic flame to Luan.
