June inflation forecast at 1.9%

What's news

China's Consumer Price Index in June is likely to increase 1.9 percent year-on-year, slightly less than the 2 percent recorded in May, according to an industry report from Bank of Communications Co Ltd. It said the slowing inflation is due to the falling prices of vegetables and other foodstuffs, which account for around one-third of the CPI calculation. The official CPI for June is due to be released by the National Bureau of Statistics on July 10.
