Yuan hits lowest since 2010 vs dollar

The yuan's central parity rate against the dollar dropped on Tuesday to the lowest level since December 2010, but officials and experts said there's no need to over-interpret the currency's recent depreciation.

Regulators and investors are becoming more used to changes in the yuan's value, the experts said.

The yuan dropped to 6.6528 against the dollar on Tuesday, from 6.6375 on Monday.
