China, ROK to boost ties, safeguard peace

China and the Republic of Korea will strengthen their strategic partnership and safeguard regional peace and prosperity by promoting denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Premier Li Keqiang and his South Korean counterpart, Hwang Kyo-ahn, vowed to do so during a meeting in Beijing on Tuesday, after the two attended the Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Tianjin.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and the ROK and is also the China-ROK Year of Tourism.
