When hailing a cab is like solving a puzzle

When it comes to the use of taxi services, I'm essentially a dinosaur.
I once installed one of the popular apps, but removed it after using it just once because I could not remember all the passwords. I know they offer all kinds of discounts, but I'd rather pay extra for the convenience of turning up my thumb at the curbside.
My strategy backfires when I try to find a taxi in an out-of-way location, such as China Film Museum. It's far away from a busy street and not very accessible to public transportation.
