HK to relay residents' concerns about case of bookseller to Beijing, chief executive says

Hong Kong's Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying said on Monday the notification mechanism between the special administrative region and the mainland will be reviewed.

The reciprocal notification mechanism, established more than a decade ago, aims at notifying Hong Kong police if there are any Hong Kong residents being detained after breaching laws on the mainland, and vice versa.
