Indonesian Navy fires at Chinese fishing vessels

The Foreign Ministry on Sunday strongly protested Indonesian Navy warships that were harassing Chinese fishermen in the South China Sea.

Chinese fishing boats were shot at by several Indonesian Navy warships in a fishing area in the South China Sea on Friday.

One Chinese fisherman was injured. A Chinese fishing boat and its seven crewmembers were detained by the Indonesian Navy, according to spokeswoman Hua Chunying.
