Lightning strike kills boy on toilet

A 16-year-old boy in Zhanjiang was killed on June 10 when lightning struck while he was playing with his mobile phone on the toilet. The boy, surnamed Lu, died after the toilet he was in was partly destroyed by lightning at around 5 pm. Phone technicians described the case as unusual and could not confirm that the phone had attracted the lightning, but advised against using mobile phones during thunderstorms.
