Education: College opens course on helicopter piloting

Fancy becoming a helicopter pilot? This is a lucrative job, according to the Sichuan Southwest Vocational College of Civil Aviation. The privately-run college in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, says a new graduate can earn more than 100,000 yuan ($15,188) a year, while those with experience can make as much as 600,000 yuan. The college has opened a course in helicopter piloting, and plans to enroll 50 students. There is a shortage of helicopter pilots in China.
