By Xinhua | China Daily | Updated: 2016-06-15 07:45

The Chinese government released a report on Tuesday reviewing the nation's human rights progress from 2012 to 2015 and promising a greater effort in the future.

China launched the National Human Rights Action Plan (2012-15) in June 2012, the second of its kind, following one that covered 2009 to 2010.

Major targets and tasks set by the plan had been fulfilled as scheduled by the end of 2015, according to the report issued by the State Council Information Office.
