Rosberg swears he's sorry about skirmish

By Agencies in Montreal | China Daily | Updated: 2016-06-14 07:57

Nico Rosberg apologized for his language on Sunday after saying on live television he was "pissed off" after a first-corner tussle with Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton in the Canadian Grand Prix.

The 30-year-old German leader of this year's drivers' world championship made the comment on Sky Sports after a clash with Hamilton saw him drop to 10th at the end of the opening lap.

"You don't need to apologize for me, I can do that for myself," he told the commentator. "I didn't realize it was that strong to say that."
