Counseling makes big difference in breakups

One year after she first volunteered her services as a psychologist to help mediate domestic cases at the Sanming Intermediate People's Court in Fujian province, Mao Feizhu, 41, shared her insights about families, love and her profession.

I never thought I would have a connection with a court, let alone a dispute. But I am now engaged in it, and I'm enjoying this new role in my life.

Recently, I helped a mother of a 6-year-old child accept her broken marriage through psychological analysis and counseling. She came to realize that her anger and arguments at the beginning, when her ex-husband put forward the divorce, were harmful to her daughter.
