UN candidates face more scrutiny
The United Nations General Assembly will hold another question-and-answer session today with candidates vying to succeed Ban Ki-moon as secretary-general. The candidates were interviewed last month. Under the UN Charter, the secretary-general is chosen by the General Assembly on the recommendation of the 15-member Security Council.
