By Zhu Lixin in Hefei | China Daily | Updated: 2016-06-04 07:32

A group of suspects who allegedly stole from more than a dozen officials nationwide were put on trial in Hefei, Anhui province, on Friday.

The suspects - two females and two males - have drawn enormous attention from across the country since 2014, when a number of the officials that they stole from were exposed for corruption after the alleged burglaries.

Tang Shuiyan, 32 and a mother of four kids, was accused of stealing from officials' offices and homes from 2007 to 2013 with the help of her ex-husband, Lin Xiaojun, who is considered the head of the group.
