Surviving on a wing and a prayer

By Sun Xiaochen In Tianjin | China Daily | Updated: 2016-06-01 07:45

Jeb Corliss earns a living by cheating death.

So when stunts like plunging into narrow mountain crevices became too tame, the 40-year-old American daredevil shifted his focus to precise wingsuit flying - highlighted by the Human Arrow, which he completed over the Great Wall in Jixian, Tianjin, on Sunday.

Corliss leaped out of a helicopter hovering at 1,000 meters, glided at 200 kp/h over a section of the Great Wall, then plunged head-first through a paper target set on a peak before parachuting to safety.
