The Westin Qingdao offers children food paradise

With the summer holidays coming up, The Westin Qingdao launched the Kids' Exclusive Food Paradise on May 20.

From colorful table decorations to a buffet that includes nutritious dishes tailor-made to children, the program aims to create unforgettable family moments and experiences.

"The Kids' Exclusive Food Paradise fully shows that The Westin Qingdao is dedicated to the family market," said Tomas Hansson, the hotel's general manager. "When we spoke with our guests, we found that the family market is more dynamic, global and focused on children than before.

"Little travelers and little gourmet buffets will decide the direction of the family market. This is why we started the Kids' Exclusive Food Paradise, to design not only nutritious but wonderful dining experiences."

An extensive new menu, which is currently available at the hotel, includes eight signature dishes created and tested by children.

A new smoothie offering called Westin Fresh by The Juicery features juices and smoothies designed for businesspeople and guests seeking healthy options while traveling. The Westin Eat Well Menu for Kids engages children through a colorful, playful menu placemat filled with inventive dishes like Build Your Own Fruit Crepes that allow children to do exactly that, providing a sense of discovery while imparting the value of healthy eating.

To make it more convenient for children to reach the buffet, Seasonal Tastes has placed a stoop near the offerings, which have received a lot of praise from parents.

Young customers can enjoy special benefits at Seasonal Tastes Signature Restaurant.

On weekdays, each member of Starwood's Preferred Guest loyalty program who purchases the adult meal at 208 yuan ($32) for lunch or 254 yuan for dinner in the buffet restaurant can bring one child aged 12 years or younger for free; on weekends, including Friday dinner, the adult can enjoy a family package price at 158 yuan for lunch or 188 yuan for dinner, with one child eating for free.
