BEIJING

No letup seen for heavy rains

Heavy rain is forecast to continue in South China over the next three days. Precipitation of up to 130 millimeters will be seen in 10 provinces and in Shanghai, according to the National Meteorological Center. The center warned of possible geological disasters triggered by the rain and warned residents in affected areas to remain alert. Heavy rain has hammered South China since March.
