Ex-adviser admits to taking bribes
Zhu Mingguo, former top political adviser in Guangdong province, admitted to taking bribes and pleaded guilty in an open trial in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Wednesday. The Liuzhou Intermediate People's Court said in a statement that Zhu had been charged with taking bribes of 141 million yuan ($21 million) and could not explain the source of another 91 million yuan.
