Former Hebei official indicted

Jing Chunhua, a former senior official in Hebei province, has been indicted on suspicion of taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said on Monday. According to the indictment, Jing sought benefits for individuals and accepted large amounts of property from them. His properties and expenditures exceeded his legal income, and he could not explain how he came by the money, prosecutors said. Jing had been deputy Party chief of Chengde city, mayor of Chengde, Party chief of Hengshui and Standing Committee member and secretary-general of the CPC Provincial Committee in Hebei.
