By Zhong Nan | China Daily | Updated: 2016-05-12 07:54

Pampers, one of global retail giant Procter & Gamble Co's biggest business units, is donating 6 million paper diapers to 96 orphanages across China to raise awareness of the importance of sleep to young people.

The company has been a supporter of the "Golden Slumber" campaign - launched by the China Women's Development Foundation to promote better sleep by children - for eight years, and this year chose Beijing Eastern Children Welfare Home to announce its latest effort.

Wang Yue, P&G's general manager of communications and public relations in China, said children in welfare homes need more help from society.
