Editor's note: BMW is introducing three high-performance sports machines that deliver the ultimate driving dynamics. China Daily reporter Hao Yan takes a closer look.

The all new M2 Coupe

A single glance is all it takes to pick the all new BMW M2 Coupe out as a member of the BMW M family. The low front apron with large air intakes, muscular flanks with characteristic M gills, 19-inch aluminum wheels in familiar M double-spoke design and low and wide rear with M-specific twin-tailpipe exhaust system play impressive roles.

With its high-performance three-liter six-cylinder in-line engine, rear-wheel-drive agility, lightweight aluminum M Sport suspension and extrovert styling, the all new BMW M2 Coupe has all the ingredients to deliver the last word in driving pleasure.

The newly developed motor in the all new BMW M2 deploys cutting-edge M TwinPower Turbo technology to develop 272 kW at 6,500 rpm and lays down a marker in the high-performance compact sports car segment. Peak torque of 465 Nm can be increased to as much as 500 Nm in short bursts under overboost.

All of this enables the all new BMW M2 Coupe with optional seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission and Launch Control to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in only 4.3 seconds. With its fuel consumption of just 8.1 liters per 100 km, the car is also keen to emphasize its outstanding efficiency.

The new X4 M40i

The new BMW X4 M40i demonstrates the high standards set by BMW M Performance automobiles. Exclusive accents of color on the front and the exclusive 20-inch M light-alloy emphasize the unique character of the new BMW X4 M40i.

The BMW M's signature style is also present in the M leather steering wheel, the M gear shift lever. The sport seats and model-specific door sills provide imminent driving pleasure, just like the "X4 M40i" digital lettering on the instrument cluster.

A newly developed M performance TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder petrol engine celebrates its world premiere. The engine delivers 265 kW at between 5,800 and 6,000 rpm from its three-liter capacity, providing a maximum torque of 465 Nm.

Powered by the advanced M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology, the BMW X4 M40i accelerates in less than five seconds to 100 km/h.

The high-performance powertrain with eight-speed Steptronic sports transmission, the top speed electronically limited at 250 km/h, has a combined fuel consumption of 8.6 liters every 100 km.

Newarrivals

The all new BMW M4 GTS

BMW M GmbH is launching the BMW M4 GTS in a special edition run of 700 units to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the BMW M3. Special-edition models sharpen the character of the M brand and embody an emotionally rich and exclusive driving experience.

The BMW M4 GTS uses the multiple award-winning six-cylinder in-line turbo engine, but adds innovative water injection technology to give the 3.0-liter unit a substantial power boost and raises the output significantly to 368 kW. The technology also increases torque to 600 Nm, yet still keeps fuel economy at the level of the M4 Coupe at 8.5 liters per 100 km. It races from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and hits a limited top speed of 305 km/h.

Intelligent lightweight construction limits the car's kerb weight to 1,510 kilograms. Its outstanding weight-to-power ratio of 3.0 kg/hp provides the perfect platform for a highly dynamic driving experience.

The sports machine for the racetrack that delivers top-end dynamics and inspirational performance demonstrates what is possible today with a road-legal car. The standard-fitted seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission selects the optimum ratio for every driving situation with no interruption in the flow of power as it makes its way to the rear wheels.
