When does well-meant help from parents turn into something more sinister?

A friend recently complained that she was exhausted. "I don't even have enough time to sit down and have a cup of tea," she said. Recently the woman, who has just turned 61, has been busy taking care of her grandson, who was born early last year.

"I've got this problem," she said. "Now that I am retired, there are things that I want to do, but I can't do it at the moment because I have to take care of my grandson."
