More than two decades after authorities decided to develop Shanghai's Pudong area, the city's iconic structures and skyscrapers, such as the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Shanghai Tower, stand as a testament to the achievements of its rapid development.
Pudong is also home to the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone and the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
