Visiting Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's connections with Shanghai and China might help to promote China-Australia relations.

Shanghai is one of two stops for Turnbull during his two-day visit.

The prime minister was scheduled to meet with about 800 Chinese businesspeople at a luncheon in Shanghai on Friday, Xinhua News Agency reported. The luncheon is considered to be a grand finale for Australia Week in China, an event designed to showcase Australian trade, investment and tourism opportunities, the report said.
