Tea industry party raises $16,000

The Nanping Women's Federation in East China's Fujian province has teamed up with the Nanping Strait Tea Industry Communication Association to hold a tea-themed party in aid of the Spring Bud charity initiative, which helps girls in impoverished areas receive education. Many charity-minded people and tea lovers took part in the event, with more than 35 companies bringing their favorite blends to sell for the charity. Within two hours, more than 262 types of tea were sold out, raising around 104,000 yuan ($16,000).
