Former FIFA exec enters guilty plea

Former FIFA vice-president Alfredo Hawit on Monday entered a plea of guilty to four criminal charges, including racketeering and wire fraud conspiracy, in connection with the massive corruption scandal that has rocked the soccer world, US court officials said. Hawit, who is from Honduras and also served as CONCACAF president, appeared at a hearing in a Brooklyn court where, in addition to his guilty pleas, he agreed to forfeit nearly $1 million.
