Rapid-fire Spurs blitz United

By Agence France-Presse in London | China Daily | Updated: 2016-04-12 08:28

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal said he had no regrets about not taking the helm of Tottenham Hotspur after the London club damaged his side's Champions League qualification hopes on Sunday.

Three goals in six minutes from Dele Alli, Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela gave Spurs a clinical 3-0 win that lifted them to within seven points of Premier League leader Leicester City and 12 points clear of fifth-place United.

Van Gaal turned down the chance to take over Tottenham before joining United in 2014, subsequently describing the White Hart Lane post as "the easier job."
